Tutorials

Here are some tutorials I have collected around the internet that I feel are exceptional enough to share with you folks.

Wings

Fairy Wings- How to make fairy wings using fantasy film and wire.

Fairy Wings- A second tutorial on how to make fairy wings, by Pop Girl.

Butterfly Wings - Similar to the above tutorial, but different and stunning!

Flutter Pony Wings- How to make replacement flutter pony wings.

Apoxie Wings- How to make wings out of Apoxie Sculpt.

Flocking

So-Soft Ponies - How to flock a My Little Pony to create a So-Soft version of the pony.

Hair

Hair Styling- A primer on basic My Little Pony hair styling techniques.

Hair Styling: Buns and Twists - How to do fancy pony up-dos with straight pins. I don’t agree with cutting the hair, but the basic idea with the straight pins is sound.

Gradient Hair Dying - How do dye hair in gradient colors. This produces a soft blend from one color to another.

Alternate Hairlines - This is a work in progress and could use more submissions! Patterns to make alternate hairlines for your ponies.

Eyes

G4 Pony Eyes - A sheet with examples of G4 eye styles, made by Darkhorse Collectables.

Beginner’s Guides

G4 Customizing - This walks you through the entire process, from prepping your bait, to decorating and rehairing it.

Sculpting

Corsets Part1 Part 2- How to do a corset in the most basic of ways, using a bake-able clay. You can use this for a self curing clay like Apoxie Sculpt as well, just skip the baking steps :)

Other

Colorscapeart’s Creations - Not a tutorial, but a great resource for figuring out bait poses, and ID-ing ponies. Also has a rarity index and a hair color match chart.
