Well she is finaly done, My giant chrysalis! she is as big as a talking celestia, and based on a Talking celestia, Because I am not fond of that pink monstrousity , I think she came out quite well , the wings are done with Plexiglass, thinner then the first plate I had

The body is made smaller by cutting up the mold, filling it with clay, and covering it in polymorph to make the nice plastic touch and feel, , the same goes for the horn and ears, 

the tail and the mane are simular to my old Desing on the smaller celestia, Lego roads, though now, covered in polymorph to make the details in them, 

Sadly, the figure is hollow, so I had to paint Inside her too , the blue seen  on her body is the reflextions of her mane due the varnish

well, it took me a while to make, but I am realy happy with the outcome! and I hope you guys do too!

Wings are still not done. At this point I have added a coat of metallic blue paint to the underside, lined the veins with glow in the dark, and added a coat of glitter. I intend to dress up the main bone of the wing a little bit more. The head is only sitting on the neck post so it may look odd. The head is full of glue still that needs to dry. The hair has streaks of glow in the dark, thermal hair, and fine tinsel. It’s not the foil type of tinsel that flys away randomly. I really love the glitz and magic that this hair blend gives her. There is also just plain blue hair mixed in also. Enjoy the update! I’ll get a glow in the dark shot up soon.

Wow. It took three tries to get this image to upload. Anyway. Im working on Chrysalis again. I’ve been so busy with other projects that I hadn’t time. In order to continue on her, I need to rehair her, so Ive airbrushed her black. Then I can sculpt the bands around her waist, fill in her back and set her wings. The wings are not entirely finished. I still need to add a bunch of details and shinies to them. I am considering adding elements of glow in the dark to her, but Im not certain yet that I want to. If I do, it will be to her eyes, wings, and hair. I’ll have to blend glow in the dark hair with the normal color. What do you think?

Im finding this screen shot to be very useful in planning out the wings for my Chrysalis. I need to make wings for one of the ponies I am making for Faelinks, so I’ll do some for Chrysalis at the same time. I decided to do them in the wire/fantasy film style instead of printing the pattern on a transparency sheet. Both have their merits, but I like the idea of the wire showing the veins and structure in the wings. I decided long ago that my Chrysalis will be brushable, and I am sticking to that.

Im finding this screen shot to be very useful in planning out the wings for my Chrysalis.

I need to make wings for one of the ponies I am making for Faelinks, so I’ll do some for Chrysalis at the same time.

For the guy at Game Goblins, in Little Rock. :) these are the current projects I am working on. From left to right, front to back: Masquerade pony for a swap, fashion style pony for a swap, Grace for a swap, Queen Chrysalis as a personal project, contest winner from the raffle, Cookie who goes along with Grace, Practice winged pony as a personal project, Faye and I forget the other ones name, both for a swap. ……. Huh. I’m not getting paid for any of this, unless I manage to finish and sell one of my personal projects. I only work on them when I’m unable to work on the others. I won’t be taking any new commissions till all or most of my swap ponies are done. If you want a pony, I can always add you to the waiting list. Check back here later folks. I have a Mailpony Derpy that I need to post to EBay.

Queen Chrysalis Custom by ~Nevi-Lamina This is a really good first attempt. I’m not sure of this person is new to customizing, or if this was just rushed.. If you go to the actual DeviantArt page, you can see some flaws in the detailed pictures, like thumbprints, bumpy paint, uneven surfaces. I think this is a really great first attempt, and if this artist were to take a little more time on the next one, I think it would probably come out GREAT! Still, this is a really good idea generator! When I finish up all of my current commissions, I plan on making one of these myself. My wings will be done with translucent fantasy film though. And I plan to use real hair on her and just cut it all jagged. I’ll definitely be making the holes in her body though. By the way, Im having a contest to win a custom pony from me.
